MCLEAN, Va .– (BUSINESS WIRE) – April 24, 2019 – Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI) has officially renamed its business unit USA TODAY Sports Images in Picture and expanded its media and media offering to include original sports, entertainment and news footage sourced directly from the USA TODAY NETWORK, which includes USA TODAY and 109 local news properties.
All images are produced by photojournalists across the NETWORK and specialist images from partner SIPA US are now available on the Immag licensing platform. In volume, 1.8 million images per year will be added to the platform, which already houses 600,000 per year from 10,000 sports events covered by 300 sports photographers across the country. Imagn is thus today one of the largest sources of original editorial images in the country.
Imagn is both an editorial photo agency and a leading press service. The agency serves its clients with needs by image and by project in all segments of news and media. The feed service is subscription-based (or flat-rate) for simplicity and offers unlimited images for all editorial purposes across all platforms, with three content subscription options: sports only, news and entertainment only. , or a combination of sports, news and entertainment.
